Best for: Pool decks & patiosCMHA, the Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association (formerly ICPI)
If you have researched pavers before, you probably know this organization as ICPI, the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute. Here is the update worth knowing: on July 1, 2022, ICPI combined with the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA), and in 2023 the combined organization took its new name – CMHA, the Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association. Same standards body, same engineering guidance, new name.
What it means for your project: the installer credential is now called the CMHA Certified Concrete Paver Installer – the continuation of the ICPI certification you may have been told to look for. CMHA does not make pavers. It sets the standards for how they should be installed: base depth by application, compaction in lifts, bedding sand spec and edge restraint. Our installers hold the certification, and we build to those standards on every job, every time.

How to choose between brands
Honest answer: at the quality level we install, brand matters less than blend. Every manufacturer we carry makes a paver that will outlast your mortgage if it’s installed on a proper base. What actually decides the project is which color blend and texture looks right against your house – and that’s a decision for your eyes, not a spec sheet.
So we make it simple. Come to the showroom, walk the displays without a salesperson steering you to one label, pull the two or three blends that catch your eye regardless of whose name is on them, and borrow samples to check at home. We install them all to the same ICPI standard with the same warranty, so the brand question never has to be about anything except the look.
